Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city
Vienna — 23 December 2025 — Volunteers linked to “A Drug-Free World” Austria have expanded outreach in Vienna, speaking with youth, news euros families and educators via public information points and event-based activities. The Vienna effort is led by Gabriele Toker, a local organiser, the initiative relies on “Truth About Drugs” materials to provide clear information on commonly abused substances, with particular attention to cannabis, often cited as Europe’s most commonly used illicit drug. Details were published in a Scientology Europe report.
Organisers say, the Vienna activities focus on early prevention, with visibility at major public events, including the Donauinselfest, while also supporting teachers seeking prevention tools for schools. Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and the United Nations, noted: “Prevention works best when young people receive verified information early, in plain language—strengthening public health and civic responsibility.”
